Yantra Mountain Retreat
provides an environment that nourishes
inner awareness, exploration and transformation.
We love to
share valuable life-enriching tools that empower and inspire
people long after returning home. One
such tool of great impact,
is the awareness of living foods. It
is not only our joy to serve
gourmet raw food that is colorful, organic, vibrantly alive, and
prepared consciously, but also to offer some education and
support so that you may feel confident in your own life & kitchen
enjoying the gifts of natural raw cuisine.
Raw Living food or ‘Sunfood’ may
include any fruits, vegetables,
nuts, sprouted seeds, sea veggies, micro algaes or superfoods,
which have not been heated or cooked. Raw
plant food contains
all water, oxygen, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals
and nutrients in the perfect ratios and bio available form.
Cooking destroys these elements and greatly alters the molecular
structure of foods. Once cooked,
food can loose more than 85%
of its nutritional value. Cooked
food is heavy and lacks enzymes,
so the body must use it’s own enzyme reserves and energy to digest
and use them. The burden of
assimilating cooked, denatured foods,
year after year, meal after meal, eventually depletes and toxifies
the body, leading to disease and accelerated aging.
Simply increasing the
amounts of organic living foods in one’s diet
can have a tremendous healing and rejuvenating effect and greatly
increase energy. This is nothing new. Wise,
educated peoples
throughout the world have long understood and respected nature’s
wisdom and thrived on a diet of raw/living plant foods.
The ancient Hunza people of the Himalayas, for example, have eaten
a raw food diet for thousands of years (and still do), and are among
the healthiest, oldest living people on the planet.
Thousands of people
world-wide are so inspired by their personal
journey with living foods that they are choosing to share their
experiences through classes, books and retreats.
For example,
Dr. Gabriel Coussens, renowned live food author & lecturer, has
actually created a ‘Masters in Live Food Nutrition’ certification
program, at his center in Arizona, 'The Tree of Life'.
Victoria Boutenko, author of ‘Raw Family,’ also travels with
her
husband and children around the country, sharing their amazing
personal story transformation from serious health challenges
to vibrant well-being through living foods.
Many
beings today are enjoying the boundless benefits
of eating raw. Some advantages
include: increased energy, vitality,
aliveness, creativity, inspiration, deeper meditation and feeling of
connectedness to all of life. It is
with deep gratitude that we
welcome you to visit Yantra Mountain Retreat, a sacred place
where many are reminded of their natural essence as perfection
- no alteration required
